I've seen it mentioned here before in several places but can't seem to find it, a link would be fine, thanks.

I just started doing a shot of olive oil every morning. A couple hundred calories, whammo! I'll check back in a couple of hours to see who has told me its a horrible idea. lol.

Haha, I'd like to hear if that's a bad idea or not also.

Don't see anything wrong with that! I've been contemplating for a while. I usually have a tablespoon or two over cooked pasta or tuna..Or chicken, whatever I'm eating.

I cook things in olive oil. I also use it as a moisturizer and mix with brown sugar for a body scrub. So yah..good stuff.

I had an epic fail on my shot of olive oil this morning when I sort of missed my mouth, and half of it went dribbling down my cheeks, neck and under my shirt. It was like the ultimate embarassing bar experience... next time i go to a bar, maybe i'll ask for a shot of olive oil. lmao.

I take a tablespoon of organic extra virgin coconut oil with each major meal. Cooking olive oil at higher temperatures (which are still relatively low) causes it to go rancid, which causes major inflammation in your body. Mainly because mono- and polyunsaturated fats have a very low smoke point. I get most of my fats from coconut oil and nuts and seeds, never any plant based oils that aren't at least cold pressed. Olive oil is good to put on your skin. If you haven't yet, you should try coconut oil rippedchick. My skin gets all messed up in the winter, and the coconut oil is really good.
