Um, so are you benching to build your chest or your front delts?-LOL

I know that's sarcastic, and here's my reason:  I have the same problem with a straight bar flat bench...totally hits my front delts which is not the worst thing, but...
My solution is to do all my flat benching with DB's -allows me to focus where I want instead of where the bar dictates.

Just a thought.

Your a power lifter ironraider so you shouldn't really care what you use to lift it as long as your form is good. But it would matter if you were bodybuiling.

To maximise your chest gains you need to arch your upper-back (as well as other things) in order to remove the front delts from the equation – arching the back in this way invokes the more powerful lower chest (normally worked during the decline bench press)
