Benching

Targeting my chest seems to be so difficult. Everytime I Bench (incline or not) it seems like my arms are giving out and my chest doesnt really feel anything. My arms are definitely more developed than my chest and it think this is why. Any advice on why/ how to prevent this, or maybe some excercises that will isolate the chest Thanks in advance.

start doing pushups 3 times a week. lots of them, with good form. is your benching done with a barbell, or free-weights? maybe try dumbells on the flatbench for a month or so. lighten the weight just a bit and work your way up. working out is 90% mental, so you're going to have to REALLY focus and think about the lift you are performing.

Proper form is a MUST. And, if you're already doing that then as already mentioned reposition your grip on the bar and keep pumping. Switch between flat, decline and incline frequently to keep your body guessing. Go up in weight even though you won't lift it as many times as you would your usual weight but you'll feel it and the chest will start growing. I just don't understand how can your hands give up so fast if they're more developed than your chest. If you don't mind list your chest routine. Keep us posted!

try doin dumbbells for about a month. dont clank the weights together at the top this keeps the tension on your pecs, and make sure to use slow controlled movements and FEEL the stretch at the bottom of the rep
