Before and After - Thursday, March 23, 2006 11:26 PM
Hello everyone, my name is Gee and I'm from East London UK. I've been reading stuff on the forum for a while now, infact - I've been reading online for months and months, trying to figure out the perfect diet and workout routines. However, it's like every day I hear a new tip or a new caution, some say train abs every day others say only twice a week, etc.

My problem is, I have a 'before' pic, but the 'after' pic doesn't exist yet. I'd like to achieve this, and with your help I hope I won't be running around like a headless chicken any longer :)

My training has been really crappy, been on and off for the last 3-4 years, and have never taken it seriously. I've only started taking my diet into consideration beginning of this year, but results are still missing.

I currently have a membership at a good gym with plenty of equipment, but there is very little in terms of guidence.
I live with my parents but can't cook for shi*, so food prep needs to be considered.

Please have a look at pictures of where I am now, and kindly guide to my goal of achieving a Calvin Klein cover body :)
Ps. I'm aware that I need to get that 'thing' waxed so no comments ok ;$

Well, first you need to get a routine to stick with (consistency) for a reasonable period of time.  A lot of guys do the Max-OT routine in the beginning, available free on the net.  Do some searches here.

You imply that your cooking skills are de minimis.  Don't sweat it.  But you do need to learn; you can't depend on your parents to change their lifestyle to accomodate (sp!) yours.  Luckily, eating healthy requires only the basic cooking skills.  No roux's are in your future.  It's pricey, but John Berardi's Precision Nutrition, while not without some flaws and goofiness, is excellent, basic primer.  Otherwise, learn to grill/bake chicken breasts, fish (esp. salmon), lean beef.  Wash lettuce, spinach and tons of vegetables (cook) and eat.  Vegetables can be boiled, steamed, baked, grilled.  Fruits come in their own packaging and can be eaten out of hand.

You also should be eating 6-8 small meals a day.  Have you figured out your calorie requirements for your goals?  Search nutrition forums for danmirage's masterly posts.

Are you sleeping enough to grow?

Are you drinking sufficient water so that when you relieve yourself, your urine is pale to clear?

Hope this helps.
