Sorry fellas, just can't do it.  I manscape my chest and stomach (not bald, just fade that s*** up...), but that's it....

Nah, I keep my shirt on because I feel like I'm trying to show off if I walk around with it off a lot.

Jane, thanks for the tips.  If I ever do decide to shave, I will do that (but I don't think I will...just sayin).

Yet, thanks bud.  Yup, I love the bell man!! I limit it to weekends though.  Every friday night, post workout, pre-drinking binge, I indulge myself in 3 cheesy gordita crunches!!!!

MVP, I'm not sure.  I can see a full 6 pack now, so I'd assume I'm below 10%, but I haven't had my bf% measured with calipers since I was about 14 years old, and that was at some health fair at school...

You get a little razor burn the first time.. I mean hardly at all.. You will get it though.   I avoid getting any bumps by shaving my whole body every day.  To be real I just use soap and water and hit everything real fast.. I got use to it.   But yeah the first time you shave if your hairy like I am it takes hours!!! Do like jane said.  you cant stop shaving ever again though or you will get itchy as hell and get bumps.  BTW legs look so much better shaved also! you see veins and all the cuts.

I didnt intend to get ripped honestly.  I just started doing the MMA to learn to fight better and to take up a new hobby.  Once the weight started rapidly dropping off, I started liking the way I looked.  I figured I'd start eating right too...so I did that as well.

One day I just realized, "Hey I'm pretty damn ripped".

But I do like the way I feel now too.  It's nice to be able to wear a wife beater under a button up shirt that is opened up and not have a big ol' gut stickin out....rather it's a nice, flat stomach now.

It is definatley fun being lean though, I can't lie.

And yup, Iwillmakeit, I do my best to keep it real.

PS - taco bell is amazing, and I will never give that up.

Bri - I know you enjoy MMA training for cardio, but did you ever do empty stomach morning sessions?

I have done empty stomach sessions in the past, but I was never able to stick with it.  I HATE getting up extra early when I don't have to, and the last thing I want to do when I wake up is run.

I'm trying to gain a few lbs. now anyway though.

Re:Before and after pics: 220 to 175 lbs. - Thursday, October 08, 2009 8:24 AM ( #50 )
I know what you mean - Personally I feel I've got the most out of cardio by doing it. I don't like getting up and driving to the gym first thing in the morning but it's one of those things I've just become automated to doing throughout the course of time. I just make sure I get BCAA's before during and after.

I'm
not an advocate for it though - Whatever works for the individual and as long you get your cardio activity done at some point in the day that's the most important thing.

Quick question ... how long did you say you have been lifting for?

The Bull, seriously lifting for about 4 years now (meaning consistently, and training my whole body instead of just upper)...but I've been off and on and not too serious about lifitng since I was about 12 (and I'm 27 now).

Bobbystang, thanks man.  No prob anytime!

5 days a week for me! not really by choice, well sort of... I am used to it and personally enjoy it, i cant really stand eating something then working out like and hour or 2 later, i tend to start tasting it again D: i never really puked but i started hiccupping or burping at tiems and smell and taste what i ate just before the work out, not good. I think it also makes me eat MORE if i work out on a empty stomach then eat after wards. I feel hungrier.

the more cut and the bigger you are.. Not too big though, the women seem to like it.  Esp if your tall.

Yeah your going to notice alot more attention, I am telling you though if you shave that attention will double.

I don't walk around with my shirt off though, so how would it make the attention double by shaving, lol?  By the time I do have my shirt off, well it's pretty much on already :).

you don't walk around with your shirt off? holy hell thats all I ever do when I get lean. I'm about to have to cut to where you are. school has started and there are oh so many women.

dude i do the same thing. come out of the shower and walk with my shirt off all the way to my room and when im just chillen in my room i dont wear my shirt...its fun
