Before MAX-OT - Saturday, March 08, 2008 7:45 PM ( #1 )
here are a few shots of me before starting the program. right now im trying to bulk. hope to get up to about 185-190 pounds. well im always up for suggestions. critique away! ok now there right side up

around 158. but i wanna get big. i figure 190 in three or four years would be nice. 7.5-10 lbs a year sounds resonable.

u could gain more than 10lb. a year at ur level

i'm surprised ur only 158. how tall are u? around 5'7-8?

yep u guessed it. 5' 8. yeah i figure i could gain more than that but im keepin my goals down so that they stay realistic. i mean i would love to gain 30 pounds in a year but that would be pushin it. lol. so i figure ten pounds is a nice number.

I'm trying to gain 30 pounds by summer... Perhaps I'm setting my goals high but I do have a lot of work ethic, a strict diet and great genetics. I probably won't even gain 15 though so we'll see.

it seems a little unrealistic but definitely possible. summer's 15 weeks away so 2lb. a week would make u reach ur goal. however 2lb. a week is likely to make u gain a decent amount of fat with the muscle.

how tall are you?

i think you could easily gain alot of weight in the next few months if you work hard at it.

im around 5' 8. but i always been a hardgainer too. so puttin on weight is prety hard usually. i gotta eat upwards of 3500-4000 calories a day to do anything. it sucks cause my fridge is always empty even if we just got food earlier that day.

thats not too much. im eating 3300 a day and were about the same weight. it does get to be a pain in the ass for my parents though

lol u think eating that much with unhealthy food is hard??

try eating it with healthy food. its like twice as much volume

lol to be honest i would do the same thing if i was an ecto, u look like ur staying lean doing what ur doing so i dont see a problem with it other than health reasons. but like most people i didn't start this for my health and im guessing u didnt either (at least not as the main reason)

no i didnt. actually i was a powerlifter in high school and i looked pretty good for one so i figured after i got out of high school why not keep liftin? i love it so ill keep on keepin on. lol. but i wasnt much on bein little even though i could lift quite a bit for my size so i got into bodybuilding. been out of high school for about 10 months now and gained roughly 30 pounds, however, right now i have stalled so im startin Max-OT and eatin everything i see. and hopefully this will kick start my gains back up. we'll see. and about the health thing, the way i see it eating mcdonalds and bodybuilding is better than bein lazy and gettin drunk every weekend. but if it does start to affect my health in any serious way ill back off the double cheeseburgers. till then, i gotta gain weight. but just a note, i only eat mcdonalds every now and then. too much of it gets disgusting. subway is another of my favorites though. its amazing.

if you hadnt been eating all that mcdonalds you'd probably have your 8 pack by now! lol but great physique man keep it up. if you really want to get shredded you should really consider cleaning up your diet, you already have a good amount of muscle mass to work with!
first day with no buds, 11/17, need a new job. 1 down 13 to go.

ya probably lol. problem is i hate workin abs and i hate cardio, but thats ok right now cause i wanna get quite a bit bigger before i start cutting. i thought maybe i would for summer but if i can gain weight and stay about this lean then ill be ok with that. maybe if i pull a straight bulk for a year then ill be up high enough to where i dont mind to cut. but for now i wanna gain some wight and get a lot stronger. btw im a cheerleader for college so part of the reason for gaining the weight and strength is so i can hopefully get a scholarship to a big 4 year university. i got half the qualifications down and now all i need is a toss to stunt, which is gonna take some time.

well if ur main goal is getting bigger u might want to try a different routine.

different people react to different things but in general ive heard that max-ot is great for strength, not so great for hypertrophy.

the deal is if i get real strong ill be fine. but the way the max-ot is set up i lift five times a week and wehn i break my body down that much it has no choice but to grow. different ppl do react different though but ill see how this works and if its only for strength then im only out eight weeks of mass gaining but ill have a better strength base for my lifts when i get back into a hypertrophy deigned workout. so either way ill be alright. but ive heard good things about it so im gonna try it and see how it does for me.

by good things i think ur mainly listening to what the program has said. that program does a good job of talking about how good it is for any goal lol.

thats not true at all. just because u break it down more often doesn't mean it will grow faster. by that logic u could do 2 hours of chest training a day and would get even faster results...but fo course in reality thats not gonna work

if u want to try Max-OT thats fine, like u said its only 8 weeks and it will make u stronger. i just haven't personally heard much about it being good for muscle growth from people who have actually tried it.

ya i wanna gain weight first though. after i get to about 190 or so ill cut down to get a six pack and see how much weight the cut is and then ill wanna be 190 while bein cut so ill bulk again till i have enough leeway to cut and not drop too far below 190. if i flex my abs i can see em but when im relaxed there gone. lol. but once i gain some size ill cut. thanks for the solid comment
