Basketball Workout
-
Thursday, January 26, 2006 3:58 PM
Anyone know a good workout, or link to one, for basketball? Not weight training really, somethin mainly cardio but thats meant to strengthen the parts of the body that get the most stress playing basketball, ankles, knees, etc? I know MJ had a personal trainer set one up for him in his early years of the League and im lookin for somethn to do this summer... -Rainman

i played college basketball, how old are you? Cardio for one, you can run, or play bball games for cardio. A good idea would be get a work out that gives you a solid foundation, that's what it sounds like you want to me. There are numerous work outs I have had to do for different teams over the years, let me know if you want some help...

Wow, forgot about this post, been forever lol. I will be 17 in November, get in atleast 45 mins of fast pace bball games a day after school and before I lift. I'm doing Max OT workouts right now, and for the next 8 weeks, but once that is over and ball season gets here, I'd love to know a good workout to keep me in shape. So any advice or tips wouldn't hurt, would be appreciated.

Once in season lift 3-4 times a week, and do major muscles and do reps of 10-12, maintain the strength you have worked hard to get... good luck with upcoming season
