Bad Neck

I have a little neck problem that comes and goes about every couple of months or so. It is a pain that feels similar to sleeping wrong, but I have hurt it lifting (mainly shoulder press), stretching, even drying my hair with towel. When it happens i will hear this little clicking/cracking noise. It causes me to have little range on motion in my neck with moderate pain. It always hurts on the left side and it will swell a tiny bit. It only lasts for a few days before it works itself out. I haven't had it checked out because it is more of a "pain in the neck" (pun intended). Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with this. I think the next time that it happens I will get it looked at. Any suggestions.

If it hurts, something's not right. The longer you wait, the more you risk it taking longer to fix it. Get thee to a doctor, probably here a chiropractor (preferably one that practices with an M.D.) ASAP next time you have pain. I speak from very very sad experience Month 10 on the tennis elbow here . . .

I think I will take your wise advice my friend. I am sorry to hear about the tennis elbow, I hope you heal quickly.

why not a chiropractor? In my experience, most M.D.'s were unhelpful. It was only the one that practiced with a chiropractor who finally made the recommendations that have resulted in healing.
