I have back issues. I honestly dont know where they come from, but back in when i used to play hockey i got some injuries but nothing major. Now, last night i was just chillin i didnt lift al weekend, and this morning my left side of my back feels like there is a knot. its really annoying and i didnt even workout this weekend. Also, whenever i deadlift i have to wear a belt, unless im doing warmups with 135 lbs. but after that, i gotta wear a belt Thoughts?

Bro, i posted something about my back too. Not getting much insight, doesnt seem too many people have much to say about injuries or any types of ailments for that matter. But i suppose it is a hard subject and no one wants to contribute to exacerbating it. With that said, my guess is your sleeping in a bad position, you have a tight muscle there, or it could be stress. People carry stress in all sorts of different places (ie: the jaw, traps, and lower back). Perhaps you should look into getting one of those heat pads that you can place on it to try to keep it loose or help it out when it flairs up. just my two cents.

P.S. I almost forgot, it could also be due to bone alignment. If one leg is longer than the other, scoliosis or your hips or shoulders are tilted. Stretching would help.

Hahaha you still kill me....have u tried working your back making it stronger (lats?...seated rows?)

I used to have bad back pain until I started doing more core work.

ive been having some lower back pain today, but i already know what its from, maxing out on a hexbar...i had shotty form on my last rep. but god you should see some of the guys, 405 lbs pull, but they round their back like a motha ****a. im really surprised no one has pulled anything yet.

Back pain is NO laughing matter at all. I had a ruptured disk for 2 years before I had surgery and one year of rehab before I felt comfortable working it again. This really isn't the forum for this type of assistance. You should really see a doctor for any back pain. I said I had a ruptured disc for 2 years. That was AFTER I was told for a year it was just a pulled muscle because X-Rays didn't show anything. You should see a doctor; a bad back can set you so far back it's not funny. Serious back pain will turn a 30 year old into an 80 year old in no time. Want my advice. See a doctor.

I had a bad back like spasms all the time then I went to a chiropractor and it all stoped he really helped me out... See if your health insurance covers one around you and deffinitally go It helps so much!

This kept my spine from having scoliosis.... which is great i guess. however.. i get a lil bit of back pressure/pain in my left side. you have NO idea how hard squats are for me. my left leg is pressing dominantly before my right, and i really have to focus on bring my hips down evenly and straight. and it probably doesn't help that i sleep on my stomach (worst way to sleep for back problems) anyways.. what you said is absolutely true, and makes perfect sense. i'm living it

See a doctor, get their 2 cents. I wouldn't take any chances. There's a good reason personal trainers need to get a clearance from the doctors of their clients before starting an exercise program, they don't wanna screw them up. Everyone should do the same to make sure they don't end up injuring themselves in the process of strenuous exercise.
