BENCH PRESS - Help Plz - Tuesday, March 27, 2007 12:37 PM ( #1 )
I currently have a 20lb bar for my bench press. I would like to find a heavier bar does anybody know where I can find one. (Hopefully, for a decent price) I live in Toronto, Canada so let me know.

A standard olympic bar is heavier (45lbs) but you would then need olympic weights, as the holes in the middle are much larger than standard.

The bars are not cheap though probably looking at about £50 pounds in england, but you may find it cheaper in canada. My best advice would be to look for a second hand kit on ebay, this may comprise a bar and a selection of plates. Just shop around, if you do opt fr olympic yu wont be dissapointed, however make sure you have room as the standard bar is seven feet long!
