Hi i just bought a new bench off the net what a mistake lol the total width of the bench is a hair tooo long for my barbell now i gotta go out and get a barbell that will fit this thing... the problem im having with it is the part where your hands go and the weight is stopped so it dont mash the hands is getting caught on the barbell rack when i set it down now enough space.. anyone got any suggestions?? im lookin to get one online for a reasonble price but i also aint got a credit card... ty for any repliesSmile

So you're saying the bench catches the weight right at the point you'd like to put your hands- That sucks. It definitely helps to look at width and stuff like that before buying- It seems to me that unless you're willing to get another bench, you'll most likely have to adjust your grip a little.
As far as barbells go, have you checked out your local gym yet? They might have some rusty old thing they'd be willing to part with for a couple of bucks- You might even find a deal on a new bench the same way.

thanks cpl.. yeah pain in the a$$ i horked out 150 for this bench and now its practaly useless other and using it for db press but anythings better than nothing till i can get a bb to fit..... edit..... Went to my brothers today and talked him into exchanging bars with me and it works so my bench routine wont get funked up lol

there are usually some pretty decent bars on ebay if you're a member.
