My Intro:

I have listened to Daniel Gastelu's (Ph.D., trainer, researcher, author) Seminar series on Developing Awesome Muscles and I believe there is a good deal of information of value in there for bodybuilders, powerlifters, physique athletes and even those looking to just get ripped.

These are free to stream or download and packed with information.  They range in time from as little as 15 minutes to as much as an hour...on average being 30 minutes.  (I will show you how to cut 33% of the time off if your time is precious.)  There are no ads and no fluff.

I want to know if anyone would be interested in listening to the segments Daniel has presented, one at a time and discussing them...I will answer any questions anyone has about the content.  I am corresponding and will be talking with Daniel and if there is anything anyone wants to know more about, I am sure I can get him to cover it.

There are 22 topics from supplementation and nutrition for fat loss and muscle gains to some specific methods and techniques for maximal performance and development.

I will highlight the key points as I see them and try to clarify anything that I feel is presented in a complicated fashion.

Everyone else is free to do the same as well as discuss the points, ask questions, debate, and together work out practical scenarios for applying these things to our training to get the most of the cutting edge science that is presented.

P.S.  Daniel builds on ideas as he goes through the series and I feel that listening in order is very helpful in getting some of the insights he sharing.

Here is the Eigth audio in the series.

This seminar completes the review of carbohydrate topics as they relate to the bodybuilder's performance nutrition and fat loss plan, a general fitness person's weight loss program, and the glycemic index and satiety index guidelines.

Dan also discusses preliminary information about supplements for weight loss, such as carb blockers, Garcinia cambogia, and Aditrim. Also included is an update on the David Robson transformation, an overview of the Squat and Power Squats, foot stances, rep ranges, and the last rep.

This is good information....it talks about insulin and individuals with diabetes (in particular type 2-this being somewhat an interest a lot of folks on my mom's side have it).
I learned a little bit about chromium and how it has a role in insulin-- and what foods contain chromium (and it foods we SHOULD be eating in the first place).

This stuff is good...I really do respect bodybuilding it goes beyond aesthetics (this being an added benefit). I am amazed how much discipline, science, and research goes into the sport. There is a lot us “normal” and non-bodybuilding folks that can learn and benefit from this lifestyle...

I just "discovered" this section--I saw it before and it looked too intimidating...I started to listen to and it is so easy to understand--good info. good learning tool!

Gracias!!
Janie

Thats what I like to hear!!!!

Dan Gastelu was the original Bodybuilding Guru dating back to the 70s and 80s...someone with credentials and real knowledge and understanding.

He went in to being a professor at Rutgers for a while and recently came back to bodybuilding.  He said to me that he was appalled at all the bad information.  That is why he does it.
