Not really.  Pills, powder, in a shake...its all the same to the body.

i could be wrong but didn't dan gastelu mention how creatine in pill form can become another chemical if on the shelves too long before bought?

The exception is creatine in a liquid form.
DO NOT buy liquid creatine.

Naturally if you buy a product after the shelf life date has expired...it MAY have lost potency beyond the labeled amount.

First, is if pure creatine?
Look at the label.  It should say:
Ingredients: Creatine Monohydrate.

If not, what is in it?

Also, drinking water can lead to going more...your body wants to maintin a steady blood pressure, which means maintaining the balance of fluids!

i should still drink tons of water

That has certain restrictions.  It is possible to overhydrate if you hyper-consume water.
But let us just say, yes, you should be sipping water all the time.

Is your water spring or distilled...I find distilled makes me pee more.

Use them as they should be used.

Cytogainer and mass tech are meal replacement powders.

Don't look to creatine to do that.  It is just a supplement...the extra little boost.

You should be getting bigger and having great workouts already!

If you are not, look at your training, nutrition and recovery!
If one of those is not dialed in, no supplement will help.

No.  The body efficiently makes creatine and breaks it down.

hey ive been taking creatine and its great :)
not sure but i think i weigh 162 now
ive heard that it would be better if i took creatine for a while and stopped for a little while so that my body doesnt become used to using all that extra ATP from creatine and so if i dont take it my body is going to feel really weak when i workout
is that true
or would it be better to take creatine non-stop

RE: Awesome Muscle Building Topic #17 Creatine - Tuesday, May 06, 2008 9:40 PM ( #48 )
Creating is a natural part of our diet and energy systems.

When you supplement you simply gradually raise the amount stored in the body.
When you stop it can take 6 weeks for the levels to return to baseline.
There is no known benefit to stopping and starting again...but you would have to stop for over 6 weeks.

It is not a problem to take it non-stop if you take a pure form in an acceptible dosage.
The body does not "get use to it" and lose efficiency.

Hey dan, i think i mentioned awhile ago that i was going to start taking creatine. i looked around i've found 3

http://www.buildingbrawn.com/index.php?ProductID=2210

http://www.buildingbrawn.com/index.php?Search=micronized+creatine&ProductID=90027

http://www.buildingbrawn.com/index.php?Search=micronized+creatine&ProductID=300080

the first one is the cheapest however its not micronized and i've been hearing how the micronized is digested more efficiently and u get more out of it (could be a marketing ploy for all i know) and that it wont give you cramps

as far as the last 2 go they're micronized and the 2nd one has more and is cheaper, i just havent heard of the company before so i dont know how reputable it is but im sure its fine. Just looking for your opinion

Also would it help to take this with whey+banana shake to make it absorbed quicker? i think i remember u saying that it doesnt matter when u take it though

It does not matter when you take it.  Creatine is not like protein, or carbs in that way.  You don't use it or use it up per se.
The micronization MAY help with those who have gut issues because it is smaller.
Increasing the "digestion" or absorption is not really a major factor as standard grade creatine was so effective slready.
Also, if you take 3 to 5 grams a day, in 6 weeks your body tops off what it holds in the muscle and that is the goal.
That happens very gradually.  Larger doses initially CAN increase the time you go from say 1.5g in the body to 6.5 grams.
You may reach peak storage in 3 weeks.  But then you are topped off.

What you take daily or at any one time is practically irrelevant.  What matters most is the consistant intake.
