In the September 2007 issue of Muscular Development, there was a reserach article about the benefits of supplementing with the amino acid beta-alanine. In the study, the subjects used a product called IntraXCell, which is manufactured by Athletic Edge Nutrition. Has anyone used this product or know anything about the company? The final results in the article were very impressive and I am considering this as my next pre-workout supplement.

I stacked beta-alanine with my creatine as that showed the most positive results for bodybuilding and strength. I purchased an AST product that had time released beta-analine. As far as results went, I thought it helped but as with most supplements, the end user doesn't know. I'm not currently taking it anymore (just my BCAA mix) and I'm doing great. The research does show some great things. Could be the next creatine? In terms of did I notice any major differences, I really can't say I did. But I do like what I've seen in terms of the studies the ISSN put out and such. Kinda up in the air on it right now. One to watch for sure.
