First of all i just want to say that I love this site and appreciate all the education information that many of you have given me. I've come to the realization that I'm not getting my daily calorie intake needed to gain weight (2,000-2,500 cals/day). In the past year i've gone up from 150 to 170 lbs...but i've plateued since the last 3 months. I have such a fast metabolism, combined with a busy schedule that i find it hard to fulfill my calorie requirements, so i decided to try out an MRP product. After checking out both MesoTech and MyoPlex, i bought some MesoTech for the supposed 340 calories. After studying these products, I found out that they both contain aspartame...aka Nutra-Sweet. This was a shock to me. I am very aware of the controversy involving aspartame in the past 10 years, and I know that it hasn't been PROVEN to cause cancer, I still try to avoid it. Why do they use apartame in their products? The only reason I can come up with is to keep carbs down but still supplying a decent taste. After i finish my 20 packets of MesoTech i'm not going to buy anymore, but I would be interested in hearing of any other MRP products that do not contain aspartame. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks for the help!
