To get a bigger bicep, I did hammer curls. They are 16's, kinda small, but went up from 13 to 16 in three months, so I don't care.

ORIGINAL: bodybuilda15 Thancks moodster, and for good arm building advice...2/3 of your arm is made up of triceps and the other 1/3 is biceps and other.. so for bigger arms i like to do the following excersises TRICEPS Skullcrushers benchpress tricep extenders pushups chestpress on a machine BICEPS for biceps i like 2 do... barbell curls pullups preacher curls dumbell curls Those Are My Main Favorites And The Excersises That I See Great Gains With...(lemme no if you are interested in more moodster or anyone else) Pullps for biceps? Haha. Maybe you mean chinups. Also, CGBP is an amazing tricep exercise IMO. Dips as well. Regular bench press and regular pushups aren't gonna do much to the triceps, haha.

Nicely done, nothing wrong with 16inches. I never really seemed to do hammer curls.. just the basic bicep curl/reverse pullups/barbell curls. Il be sure to give hammer's a try thanks.

Yeah, overall when I get to 180, I want them to be 19. Hammer's are one of the best exercises for your bicep, they are underrated.

ORIGINAL: bodybuilda15 No i think i was right pssst...pull ups....and pushups are fanominal for your arms what size is your bicep? pssst My arms aren't big. However, do you do rows for your biceps as well? That's pretty much what you're saying. Pullups stimulate your biceps more, but nevertheless, it isn't a bicep workout. http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/WtPullup.html Same goes for pushups, except that's an even worse exercise if you're not adding weight. It's going to stimulate your triceps, but it's still a chest exercise. However, you could technically make it a tricep exercise by changing grips, but you never specified. and it's phenomenal. @Maverick: You gotta be 220+ for 19", haha.

I have a question...when you see bodybuilders and real big guys with biceps...they almost look to have a point on the bicep like a triangle but not quite is this a result of steroids? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7V9OS87PEc ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

you have 16 in'' arms maverick?? that's exceptionally good for your weight. there's more to arms though, and IMO, you should try to get big legs, back, chest, and shoulders as well. but i'm sure you know that... i got to 16 as well, and it's taken almost 2 years just to get them almost an inch bigger. i'm not worried about it though. the skinnier you are, the bigger your arms look. so if i was 8% bf with 16.5 inch arms.. that would look amazing IMO
My name is FOX.... and I approve this message.

Stick to a basic effective 3-4 day routine. EAT GOOD and do this for your arms Dips 3x10, CG Bench 3x8. BB Curls 3x10, Hammer Curls 2x10 try this Monday- Bench 3x10 dips CG Bench Tues Legs squats 3x6 lunges 3x8 calves 3x15 Wed Rest Thurs Overhead press 3x8 Side raises 3x10 Facepulls 3x10 Fri Pullups 3xfailure bent over rows 3x10 Cable Row 3x8 BB Curl Hammer curl I PROMISE YOU you'll grow with the right diet and youll look jacked if you follow this routine for 3 months !!!!!! For those ppl telling you 5 different curls- you'll overtrain your arms and get no results plus i gave you this routine to also grow your chest and back at the same time with legs and shoulders otherwise youd look ridiculos with big arms, small chest and a narrow back top it off with chicken legs

I can't believe you all have been giving this kid attention. He is a little arrogant punk who needs to manner up before he should even be considered, listened to or recognized.

LOL, If you dont listen to the other posters advice, why even ask. Also you can get good and reliable information from the internet, doctor, gym worker, books, and many other sources. I am not trying to be mean, but seriously stop the fuss on this board and get some real information if you are serious about working out.
