Can anybody recommend a good supplement for appetite suppression that isn' t addicting or has some nasty side-effects. I' m dieting and would like to rid myself of those damn hunger pains. I know my body is hungry because I need food. But it' s hard to diet and get cut when I' m constantly feeling the urge to eat. Help is appreciated.

Ah, interesting question. To answer this properly, I am going to have to do, what I normally refrain from doing, which is pitch my own products. Before I do that, I want to discuss an important issue, and also want to point out the few, non-Avant Labs products that do suppress appetite. First, I want to discuss hunger. Why? Hunger is a complicated concept actually, and results from a variety of physiological and hormonal signals. I won' t get to into it here, but I want to point out that hunger is a signal that your body sends because it believes it is literally dying. When you are in a hypocaloric state, your body believes it is starving to death, and so, a number of things happen. Again, there is much more than what I will state here, but for simplicity sake, when you diet, the hormone called leptin (which controls many processes) plumets. As a result, hunger and cravings ensure, metabolism plummets, LBM is catabolized, and a number of other bad things. Bad for the bodybuilder, good for our ancestors who were starving because of scarcity of food. So, in this context, what is hunger? It is a sign that your leptin is dropping and all that other bad stuff is happening. So, while we can mask hunger, remember, its is just a symptom. Why do I bring this up? We (Avant Labs) are soon to release a previously unheard of and groundbreaking product called Leptigen II. Literally, it has dozens and dozens of positive benefits, but in short it sends the FED signal to your body, without the calories of food. So, when you supplement with it, your leptin levels stay raised, metabolism stays raises, etc, and as a by-product (of the fed signal) hunger is non-existent. Are you hungry when you bulk for example? Okay. Tangent over. What effectively blunts hunger, directly. I know of three things. Ephedrine is an effective appetite suppressant. Most people, when supplementing without, have a noticably suppressed appetite. This is absolutely true for me, as well. Likewise, the OTC diet drugs (dexatrime) are appetite suppresants, in the same way as ephedrine. The only other product I know, is another Avant Labs product called Anorect-In (an anorectant, btw, is anything that supresses appetite, hence the name). This product, recently released, is used differently. A-In is not used until hunger strikes. (E and dextrime cannot effectively be used this way). When you are hungry, 3-4 squirts of A-in will completely blunt your hunger for 1.5-2 hours. User feedback is unreal, with most people reporting profound hunger supression, in as little as 15 minutes after administration. Good luck with your diet.

There' s also hunger in a hypercaloric state, from changing blood sugar too (does depend on carb choices to some extent also). Not necessarily a response to starvation as much as a nice little note from your brain to your belly (or vice versa) letting either know that it' s time to get off your ass and fill your gut or at least to start looking for food.
