Another Supplement question from a newbie?
-
Friday, December 12, 2003 1:08 PM
Hey All, I was reading some good stuff on here so I decided to join up. Well, I've been working out for 1 year now and loving it. I'm currently on a muscle mass routine, and taking regular protine shakes. My problem is I have a weak stomach. I tried creatine, and ouch... I was in the bathroom more times then anywhere else. I switched to Methoxy, and it was a little better, but it still rumbled my stomach. So my next try will be No2. My questions. 1. What supplement can I take that my stomach won't suffer but will give me the most gains? 2. What are some of the side effects of No2? I've done extensive searches on the net, but find nothing but people trying to sell it. Thanks and sorry for the long post

Well, with Creatine I ramped up. I increased each week until full limit. I did the same with Methoxy. The type I have, asked for 2 to 4 tablets before bed on an empty stomach. I started at 2 for one week then slowly went up to 4. With both I pretty much got the same thing. Stomach aches.

NO2 really hasn't been out long enough to show side effects or any benefits. While there's a lot of "claims" on both sides, it's not like creatine or protein that have years of actual scientific research and about a million user experiences. As far as Creatine causing an upset stomach, that side effect is most felt when excess of 15 g per day is taken. As a loading phase or just taking more then the recommended standard which is 5 g per day. Q: So if you did 4 per day.. how many grams of creatine were in those 4 caps? You also mentioned that you switched to Methoxy. Which isn't creatine if I'm correct and your stomach was still upset. Just goes to show that not everything that says "whey protein" is the same. Because they aren't. Welcome to DB Dan!
