Animal M-Stak - Wednesday, April 08, 2009 5:55 PM ( #1 )
Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying this supplement and I've heard a lot of good things from friends about it. I've been lifting since age 14, and I'm now currently 19 yrs old (weight 153, Height 5'8), and I feel as if I've plateaued. I've been trying everything to help such as switching up the lifting days every week and ive kept trying to add weight to my exercises but i cant seem to get past adding more than 2.5 to 5 lbs on any exercise.. for example on the bench i can only put 225 up once and have been stuck here for about a month now. And I eat 5-6 small meals a day. The only supplement Ive been taking is muscle/monster milk, and my friend swears that the m-stak will work wonders for my strength and getting bigger/cut. I also know this is not the animal stak which has prohormones, which i dont want in my diet. I just want some extra advice on this supp and if it works or if any of you guys have advice on how to beat this plateau stage of my life haha.. that'd be great too. Thanks.

Supplements are called supplements for a reason, they help supplement your progress if your doing things right to begin with. What does your current diet and workout routine right now look like?

Workout Routine
     - Mon: Chest/Tri
     - Tues: Cardio(3 mile run)/Abs
     - Wed: Legs/Shoulders
     - Thurs: Cardio(3 mile run)/Abs
     - Fri: Bi/Back
     - Sat: Cardio(Bike for 45 min or Stairmaster for 20 min)/Abs

And like i said earlier i try to switch my lifting days up.. for example ill do chest/tri on mon one week and then next week it'll be on friday. My cardio days stay the same and i keep them in between lifting days. If this is not a good idea please let me know, I've just been told by trainers that switching the lifting days up is good so that you dont plateau. And each workout last anywhere from an hour to 1 hr and 45 min.

Diet
  •  In the morning i'll usually have a bowl of cereal with bananas/strawberries, or 2 bowls of oatmeal, or 2 eggs in a sandwhich with whole wheat bread and 2 slices of cheese and 3 slices of ham. Those are really the only three choices i have for breakfast because I'm a student so i need to make something quick to get to class in the morning.
  • In between breakfast and lunch ill try to eat a snack in between classes such as a granola bar or power bar.
  • Lunch - lately i have been having tuna sandwiches. Or i usually buy half a rotisserie chicken with a salad at wholefoods. Or sometimes a roastbeef sub.
  • Between lunch and dinner I try to snack if i have time, which usually consists of a banana or granola/power bar
  • Dinner - Usually chicken or fish always with some greens. I'd say dinner is probably the most nutritious of the day for me.
This diet is usually consistant during the week, on weeknd sometimes I tend to eat at different times and it kinda messes up my meal schedule for the whole day. This usually only happens on saturdays though, and I still eat of course, but probably not up to 5 meals on saturday.. usually like 3ish. But thats only one day so I dont really think that would effect to much.

I've ordered the animal m-stak, and recieved it today. I'll repost to let u guys know if it worked for me.

I used it last summer, and had physical results along with other supplements within a week.  It didn't really last though, I'm a little skeptical about it now.  Only supplements I swear work are things like creatine and beta alanine, those will actually make  you stronger not kidding.

I totally agree with seoinage. Im very skeptical when it comes to supps. Ive wasted my money on so many just to have the majority of them do nothing. I would recommend MORE PROTEIN in your diet. Also try going in one definite direction for a while eg bulking or cutting.
Also, im not sure what kind of exercises you do, but make sure that you are doing mainly compound lifts and not making iso's the staple for your workouts

i have used two cycles in the past. The first time I really did see some solid increases in my lifts but this could have come from training hard and eating right as well. The second time it messed with my stomach about half way through so I gave it up. It is relatively cheap so if you want to try it go for it. You still need to eat enough quality food and train hard to ever see results.
