Nah don't even think we are the same ages really, just a few people from the forums with similar stats and goals (:

Thanks even though i'm turning 14 in 11 days, right now my diet is basicly just watching what i'm eating to make sure it isn't all junk food but eating like a horse fairly healthy. So I don't really have a set diet.

Bro games like that consume your life, you'll look back in a few years and think about all those hours you wasted infront of the computer, you should go hangout with friends.

Your still pretty young and full of hormones and growing, I would progress linearly as long as you can. connelly I hear ya it is addicting. On topic: nothing really new lifting wise starting texas method new years.

But that's my problem I can't progress linearly every workout. I know it might sound crazy but it's getting hard to put weight on my lifts.

deload and restart. Milk it for all its worth man, you still have a lot of growing to do. No reason to jump into periodized training just yet Keep adding calories and you will see gains, too many people over look this part

I know I can't put 5 lb. on my lifts every workout though i'd be benching 225 in a month if that were the case, 5 lb. a week is still fairly good progression, how long were you thinking about staying on a linear program?

well lets say you started at oh i dunno, 135 bench for example and you end up staling at say 175. And you added 5 lb's a week. You can deload, then restart the program. this time starting anywhere from 140 and up. eventually you would hit 175 and pass it, and maybe this time stall at 185. Thats just an example, you being so young I think if you just start eating more you would make bigger jumps. I mean its your decision, and I really enjoy the TM program, im restarting it again this monday. But if I were you I would ride linear train for as long as I can... I just dont think you need periodization training just yet is all. I probably jumped into it to fast myself, but then again I wish I knew half the stuff I do now when I was younger. Either way you will see gains as long as your eating enough, but like I said I dont think you need something like the TM just yet.

I'm not sure really I know I can't add 5 lb. every workout so I figure i'd try and add 5 lb. a week (like your saying) which is basicly what texas method does other than you can swich up the reps to keep progressing longer and it only has 2 heavy days of lifting. I guess I'll stick with a 5x5 but texas method ans westside philosophies seems so awesome to me (:
