Anabolic after V-diet - Tuesday, July 01, 2008 7:25 PM
I didn't want to hijack the other AD thread, so I've started my own.

I have just finished the V-diet and I have been researching the Anabolic diet now.  I understand that I will have to eat a lot during the AD but I don't want to rush into it too fast after the V-diet.  I am starting to eat solids again, 1 a day for 2-3 days then 2, then eventually all solids again, hopefully no more than 1 1/2 weeks.  Anyway, I will not eat many carbs during this to acclimate myself for the AD.  Should I be eating a lot of high-fat foods right after my v-diet?  I am eating a lot of chicken and eggs, some veggies, but I just want to make sure that I am ready for the AD in 1 1/2 weeks.  I have been eating less than 100 carbs/day during the V-diet and I have to work my way down to less than 30/day for the AD, but I will have to be able to eat enough solids for a while.  I have downloaded the anabolic diet book and I will start reading it tomorrow and I am sure that I will have some more questions, which I will post on this thread.  Also, any general tips would be appreciated.  I have been researching it pretty heavily for the past couple of days, but I still have some foggy areas.

your plan sounds good, keep the carbs low and fat high..u can basically do the AD just with lower calories since your coming off the v-diet. you wont get that initial drop of water/glycogen weight normally experienced. not to a large degree anyway.

take what you read in the book with a grain of salt

The whole thing or just the starting-off period?

Also, how big of meals can I eat right now?  I'm thinking a couple of pieces of chicken and some eggs.  Too much?

the whole thing. the basic ideas he talks about are true and he gives the necessary info..but he over exclaims what the diet can do. i have heard a lot of great success stories from it though so i know it can give great results...i'm just saying dont expect it to work miracles. the laws of thermodynamics still apply lol

all in one meal or throughout the day? just gradually add in calories from what you had before but not too suddenly. if by the end of week 2 your eating the real AD you should be fine
