Am i Taking My Supplements Right? - Saturday, September 30, 2006 6:33 PM
well since i barely bought my supps im wondering if im taking my supps right
well here's what i got:

NOW Omega 3-6-9
Optimum BCAA
AST Multi Pro 32x
CytoSport Muscle Milk
AST Micronized Creatine

so heres how i take it: after weight training which is about 8:55 a.m.
i go to my locker and drink my muscle milk along with the BCAA's...then after
school i drink my creatine because i tend to piss a lot and i cant go in during
class cuz teachers wont let me...then when dinner comes i take my bcaa's again
my multi and some fish oils...then before bed i take my muscle milk...

so how is it...
oh yeah im not sure if the creatine is making me piss a lot or i think it may
the 1 gallon of water i drink with the creatine...i think it maybe just the water
thats makin me piss alot...imma try to drink my creatine with my protein drink[is this a good idea?]

I dont know enough to give you advice on the other stuff, but as far as taking the creatine with the protein drink, you're better off taking the creatine on an empty stomach, or 1 hour after the protein drink. Other than that, just make sure you're drinking lots of water to keep your kidneys in good shape.

dont drink the muscle milk after your workout.  drink a whey protein shake 15 minutes after your workout.  also take the creatine immediately after your workout with the bcaas.  you dont have to drink a ton of water right as you drink the creatine, just make sure you get a good amount of water when you get home from school.
 
also, do you take your multivite in the morn at all?  i believe ast 32x multi is a 2-a-day, so take one with breakfast and one with dinner.

hmm ok i get it, is it cuz muscle milk is slower to digest and whey is faster...oh yeah i forgot to add multi for breakfast...

so here is the new schedule for my supps:

preworkout= breakfast, multivitamins

post workout= creatine with grape juice and the bcaa s

dinner= fish oil, bcaa, and multi

bed= muscle milk

get a whey protein shake for post workout.  also ditch the grape juice with the creatine.  instead have a banana blended in with your post workout shake.  like i said, take the creatine immediately after, and than drink the shake with the banana 15-20 minutes later.

plus i have same problem with my creatine and peeing, what u do is take it post workout, and for the 4l for me gallon for u (i dont no difference), just drink it gradually over the day and it shuldnt be that bad, as well its better for u because if u drink all the water at home ur body is ina  state of dehydration and then supersaturated and it will peee msot of it out, so if u do it gradually over time (i recomed using a bottle with ml listed on side) then ur good and i dont have to pee much and ive been drinking upwards to 6 or 7l a day

water, you allreay have elevated insuline levels. You might as well take the creatine with the protein, I have never noticed a difference.

the creatine doesnt need an instant insulin spike.  it actually needs the spike about 20-30 minutes after you take it, which is why i suggested the banana 15-20 post workout

so like this then?

oh yeah is there any other liquid i can drink besides the water? cuz the taste of the creatine...like gatorade or something? or flavored water?

you can drink it with your PWO shake, gatorade, hell keep the grape juice for it. Just keep it healthy whatever it is, don't down it with a 40oz or something.
