Hello. I'm new to the forum and new to lifting. Here's what I'm doing...Let me know if I'm on the right track. I'm looking to add mass to my scrawny self...
6'1"- 178 lbs small chest and arms
Bi/Tri, Back/shoulders,Chest,Legs each twice per week.
I take Cell Tech and GNC Mega Mrp.
When are the optimum times to take those supplements? Also, should I consider any others? Sorry if I left anything out, still new to this

Hi Channah,

Welcome to DB!

1- Mega MRP is usually a meal replacement. So just take it as such. Try not to skip meals but if you need a quick one, these can be a good option. If you are looking for extra calories, they sometimes make a good addition to that as well.

2- Cell Tech creatine? Usually 30 minutes before a workout. Although the directions might be different. Read the product labels. It has to give instructions.

I'd consider a good post-workout Whey protien. That is critical. And of course, 5-6 meals a day consisting of lean proteins, healthy fats and complex carbs.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you read the Top 12 Beginners' Mistakes

I eat alot of chicken, tuna, etc. Really, it's pretty good, but I do need to start eating more. It's like forcing myself to scarf down more food!

Ok...first off.  Your body has its best absorbtion abilities right after you work out and right when you wake up.  Why?  Because both times your body is starving and depleted from either your workout or eight hours of sleep.  So my reccomendation, and i take my creatine, right after my workout about fifteen minutes before my post workout meal, and i also get up an hour before i "really" get up in the morning and take my other dose of creatine.  That is the best way to take creatine monohydrate because it has a lot of sugar and has to be digested and stored in your muscles to do any good.  As for other creatines like ester creatines you have to take those more frequently to keep them in your system, although they are stronger.  The best creatine in my opinion is Cell Mass by BSN (bright orange bottle like NO-Xplode).  BSN knows what they are doing and gives you exact instructions on how and exactly when to take it.  And remember that 95% of the time your body is going to absorb a product better if you take it on an empty stomache. Good luck.User Posted Image
