Allergic to Protein

Hey, Obviously I don't think I'm allergic to protein itself, but whenever I have a protein shake, even if its just a sip, my tongue and throat swells. Has anyone ever had this kind of reaction? If so, what should I take instead of this. It's had to get as much calories as I need without protein shakes or bars.

You are probably allergic to something else in it. Maybe peanuts?

is it all types of protein shakes... Casin, whey, soy?? Godz is probably right... you are going to have to either get tested by a doctor, or trail and error. Hey, are you allergic to shell fish, many types of protein shakes have shellfish derived vitamins / minerals.

Did you have allergies before ? Read the label maybe there is something you started to be allergic to...it's possible. If you really want to make sure, you might want to pass a allergy test..it can help
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
