All ya'll powerlifters on here....
-
Monday, August 25, 2008 5:41 PM
Does anyone have a good powerlifting routine that has worked for them. I've recently been doing the 5x5 but its been a month and I am stuck on 275 for bench, my other lifts are still going up. Does anyone know any routine that could help me break 300 or 315 by the end of this year? Any help would be appreciated.
Lifts: Bench-285, ATG Squat-485, Deadlift-495

To try and break a bench plateau do some more lat work, and tricep work, as well as calf work.

Yet To try and break a bench plateau do some more lat work, and tricep work, as well as calf work. I agree with this as well. Also what is your current benching/chest routine? (i want reps/sets/rest interval/ect)

I've upped the tricep work by doing heavy close grips and weighted dips but this was before I stalled, and I don't think anything else will help more than these, but I could be wrong. For my lats I've been doing heavy rows(switching them up), and pullups. To SK: My current routine, weights are from today, nothing new Tuesday Bench-155x5, minute break 185x5, minute break 205x5, minute break 225x5, 3 to 5 minutes 235x5 Close grip bench- 205x5 215x5 205x5 Weighted dips- bwx3 bw+10x3 bw+20x3 That's it about it for chest, the past month I've been doing dumbbell switched up with regular bench, same rep and set scheme. Don't know if this helps but, Yet asked about lats so I figured I'd put up my back and bi workout too. These weights are also from my last workout Deadlift- 135x5 225x5 315x5 405x5 415x4 Rows(last time I did db rows) 80x5 90x5 100x5 110x5 a set of both pullups and chinups, reps depend on how tired I am. barbell shrugs- 135x10 225x10 315x7
