Alcohol on Keto

On Wednesday next week, I have to go out and would end having maybe 4-6 beers. I know it sounds like an excuse but its one of those work related things where I have to meet up with somebody and schmooze. I understand that while on keto alcohol's effects are further worsened beacuse of the body's higher acidity levels etc. Should I stay on a Keto diet on Wednesday or is better for me to carb up to try and mitigate the additional negative effects of alcohol, just for that day. Please share any experiences of drinking on the Keto days. I haven't had a drink for over 6 weeks now and have been on CKD only for about a week.

Stick with clear drinks and you'll be fine. No soda. Gin and Tonic is a good choice, or a low carb beer if you have to. I wouldn't worry about it in the long run.

Watch out for dehydration and some people also feel a lot more drunk than they would normally with the same amount of alcohol. One night with a few beers is probably ok, excessive drinking on CDK would be a bad idea though.

limit yourself to less. if you know it's gonna be bad, don't put yourself through it. if it's bad for your diet and it's gonna hit you harder, it's just common sense to keep it at a minimum, or not do it at all... just say you don't drink and nobody will question you.

I drink like a fish on keto, 2-3 days a week. Having a perfect body just simply isnt worth living like a nun. Of course, more ideal would be to drink ONCE a week. Just make sure to drink vodka and if you can handle it, chase with ice cold water. If not, use a diet coke and just try to not eat anything until all the alky is out of you. Whatever you do, dont drink on the carb-up like I used to. Its your only chance to grow on the CKD. Its like missing your train or flight for a whole week if you screw it up.

dont chase vodka with anything. man up and guzzle that shxt. like dtes said, just dont drink on the carb up because it robs your liver of glycogen which is what you are trying to restore.
