Air Alert? - Wednesday, March 19, 2008 2:19 PM
I am 6'9" 195 lbs and am a basketball player.  If i could get my vertical up another 8 inches it wouldnt be out of the picture of someday making money playing basketball.
I have heard air alert is the best vertical program.  What workouts would help my vert go up by the most? My season starts next fall.  Thanks a lot
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 195
Goals: 220
Current Vert: 30
Goal: 38

If you have any workouts to help my vert let me know!

If you are thinking about going pro then you are probably being recruited by (if in high school) big name colleges. Those programs will set you up with trainers to help you increase your vert.

Also, your parents should seriously consider getting you a strength and speed coach to work with you one on one.

I am graduating from prep school this year im going to play at Dartmouth next year and i met their strength coach on my official but i dont have anything for over the summer, which is where air alert comes in.  I want to put as many inches as possible on my vert by next october.

Unfortunately in todays world it is dang near impossible to play in the nba, but playing somewhere as a 6'9" small forward overseas is not impossible if i get stronger and can jump higher i'd like to think.

I was thinking Europe or something too. Still, if you call the strength coach at dartmouth they should tell you the workout the guys on the team are doing, or at least tell you how to focus your training.

Now I really think your parents should get you with a personal strength coach over the summer. One could help you far more than any training on your own could.
