Well, I was about to the point where I want to be in my upper body But thanks to the winter and cold season. I caught 2 colds and thanks to it. I couldn't work out or anything and with a high metabolism. I lost all the weight I gained.. Well, guess I gotta start all over again. Has this happen to anyone as well?

Yeah.  Sucks!

The good news is, muscle memory will kick in once your body is done fighting viruses.  If you don't waste any time getting back ni the gym, and hit the weights with intensity and focus, you'll have it all back in less than half the time. Smile

Yes, that's me in my avatar, and NO, I don't look like that today. That was taken back in Jan '07, and I lost most of that progress when I slacked off last year. I'm on my way back, tho, and I'm using that photo for inspiration.

I havnt been sick in 6 years. crazy huh?  I do get poision ivy and swimmers ear occasionaly.  Poision ivy sucks.  i get it pretty bad usasualy, and when you sweat it makes it worse.  I lost my 6 pack because i couldnt do anything for a month.  I could barely move my arms or hold anything.  In the end i had to use some kind of a steroid to get rid of it.

Never had poison Ivy, but to get back to the original topic- sumdude, you mentioned your upper body- Please tell us you work your lower body too.
If you're getting over an illness, try to make damn sure you're over it before hitting the weights hard again. You could prolong your illness and recovery time by giving your body too much to handle at once.
