After losing lots of weight, did anything change? - Wednesday, December 17, 2008 2:23 AM ( #1 )
This is for those who have lost lots of fat: Did anything change?

I mean, overweight people sometimes think that they'll become more confident, people will start liking them more etc., after they have lost weight.

Are people treating you differently?

Do you have more confidence?

I'm intrested in hearing your answers.

The short answer is yes.

first thing is, being fat makes you look older.
second, your vitality will increase
Hormones will modulate again, fat creates hormonal disorders
Your self steem will increase not for the change on your body, but for the achivement filling you will get from seeing it change.  be careful, bad diets will worsen the wasting time attitude.
Vitality is reflected in your face and attitude toward the other, so people will see in a different way at you.

I will not lie you, it will be hard to change your eating habits but is worth the effort.  I got 5 months to leave sugar and any soda, salt, etc. a lot of thing you may think are harmless, contributes to make harder that change.

But i re assure you, the happier you get with the results, the more drastic your life will change.

YES.

I became more confident. Funny thing though, people didn't really treat me different. There was one guy who teased me for being fat, but all that changed when I lost 60lbs and he remained an enormous 300lb dude with double chins and I realized, "Who the hell are you calling flabby??"

You look at the world differently, when you lose a lot of weight. Food, clothes, how you work out, how you talk to people, everything.

I would have to say yes as well, but, people treating me different had nothing to do with the weight. People were responding to the positive changes in myself that resulted from the weight loss.
