OK,
I've come to a realization here. I've been really bothered lately and I didn't know why but I have decided that it's this:
My wife has made absolutely ZERO comments on my appearance changes. The only comments that I have gotten have been the occasional one that I've had to prompt her for. I've got TONS of people that I know, at work, at the gym, at some local stores that have made comments on a frequent basis but my spouse? nada. I didn't think that it was that much of a big deal until yesterday when I came to the realization that it is actually bugging the hell out of me. Maybe we both are starting to just take each other for granted also, I dunno.
I'm trying to not to dwell on it but so far I've had very little luck. I do not want to get her upset and there maybe something that is occupying her attention more.
I think I just wanted to get that off my chest. Does anyone else have any similar issues? Just wondering.

Super normal Paul, don't worry it it just normal. She sees you from the inside...she surely doesn't care about your look, she likes the insides. Women prefer who we are not what we look like.
Any external view who'd look at you and say damn man you look big...she likes who you are...remember that.
I'm sure she still kiss you goodnight, look at you in the eyes and everything....that means she cares about YOU not you muscles.

Hmm....Nic has a good point, however, I think women do care...I think just sometimes you get caught up in every day life, and things tend to overide her immediate attention. Do you two have kids? Do they take up a lot of your time (not like that's a bad, thing, lol)? I'll say this...my girlfriend doesn't usually notice until it's been a few weeks. Rather, she'll make comments every few weeks. But I mostly hear comments when I put the weight back on, go figure. LOL.
I would imagine though, in your situation, that would annoy me too. Maybe you should wait until she's reading in bed, jump out naked, and comically demand why she hasn't noticed your manly physique every month? That seems to work for me, LOL. Plus you get some sex, BONUS!

Do you comment on her appearance?
How is she when it comes to keeping in shape? It could be that perhaps she's a little self conscious of that sort of thing, so to avoid the topic completely- Well, she'd have to avoid the topic completely.

i was going to ask the same question as "cpl" did. does she workout???is she out fo shape??? i started working out before my boyfriend & i know he saw changes, but never really said anything. now that he works out with me, he says things about how my butt looks hot or my beast look good. so i am always suar to throw comments about his weight loss his way also...lol...sharon

lol...actually i do have some of "those" kinds of pics, but i figured this was not the place for them...lol...i even tried to post a "nice girl" pic on my profile here, but it keeps saying the pic is too big...sharon

lol..noooo my butt is not too big, my pic(jpeg) or whatever is too big. i also understand the "c" cup thing. i was DD cup but am down to a c. personally i think it makes me look smaller ALL OVER...lol...sharon

Here's what I noticed: YOU don't see how much your kids have grown until Uncle Fred shows up from out of town and comments on how Buffy and Chip have shot up since the last time he's seen them. You see them everyday, so the changes in their size is gradual and not completely obvious. The same things happens with our spouses: they see us everyday and the changes are subtle. YOU likely don't see all the subtle changes. You'll likely hear more comments from those who haven't laid eyes on you for a while.
Furthermore, I expect you've been doing this for some time now and your missus is likely used to your new size, therefore, less reason for her to comment.
My wife never really said anything until maybe two years into lifting when one night in bed she reached over to hug me and said she has to reach farther to get arms around me now. Subtle, but I thought it was kind of cool.

i think it BIGDOG got it right... its because changes don't appear so drastic when you live with another person, but if you see them after a long time, they seem drastic.

Well, either get over it or get a new wife. Obviously she's not going to gush over you they way other people do. My Dad could never give me a compliment to my face, but he'd practically stop people on the street to brag about me.
Besides, she sees you every day. I get the biggest reactions from people who haven't seen me in a year.
