Hi folks,

I'm looking for a little advice. I've been sick for many months, and i'm interested in rebuilding my strength. I'm in pretty bad shape as you can probably imagine, after being pretty much bed ridden for so long.

I've been doing some exercise on a bike we have called a health rider. It's nothing special, but it works the arms and legs. I've been forcing myself to use it once a day, and each day add 2 calories burned onto the workout time (it has a digital meter for it). I'm up to around 120 calories now after using it for a couple months.

I feel i've made some progress, but here's my question: Would I build muscle mass quicker if I did say: (3x) 40 calorie workouts a day, or (1x) 120 calorie workout a day? Meaning, would it be better to split the workout up over the entire day or continue to do it all at once (assuming I can tolerate it)?

Thanks
