Hello, im lookin for advice on bulking up and getting some muscle on me... After a run in with the local skinhead faction i've decided its about time i bulked up a bit and learnt to defend myself...

A little info about myself:
Im 17
Im 5ft9 (179cm i think)
I weigh 9.5stone (About 120lbs?)
I dont know my bodyfat % but i dont think its gonna be much...
I do have a health disorder which may effect me greatly in this... I have pulmonary stenosis (Its a weakening in the pulmonary artery of the heart.. i have to have the valve replaced every 10years and the valve does leak..)

So any advice you guys can give me is greatly appreciated.. Diets? Excercises? routines? etc...

Your boy cries but you proceed to fratenise with those baby blue eyes, eyes like the sky you pleaded for ties. Your stomach cries, and you envisionise a plate full of fries. Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Thai kickboxing will help you more than any lifting. We'll be happy to help you with bulking, but fighting is a different matter altogether. Check around the forums for bulking advice. PM me for the fighting.

Just out of curiosity, where are you from? I've never heard of stones as a measure of weight before.

After looking around on the forum and reading 'Bulking - a beginners guide' thread... using the links on there i have got this info which may help..

1685.4 calories per day is your Basal Caloric Rate. This is:
no more then 56.182 grams of fat (30%) for your Basal Caloric Rate
63.205 grams of protein (15%) for your Basal Caloric Rate
231.75 grams of carbohydrate (55%) for your Basal Caloric Rate

But i dont understand... Can anyone translate it into simple english for me? Or am i right in thinking its suggesting my intake per day should be no more than:
56 Grams of Fat
63 grams of protein
231 grams of carbohydrates

Basal caloric intake is what your body currently needs to stay the same size it is now, with the activity you're currently involved in. Add say, 500 calories to that in order to put on some muscle.
