Advice, please...

Hello everyone, I'm 31 years old, standing 5' 11", at approx 218 pounds. I'm going to try and describe myself... I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either. I'm pretty good size in my shoulders where i have to get either an XL or XXL to fit comfortable around my shoulders and chest, and I get athletic cut shirts when possible so that it doesn't look baggy around the mid-section. About 2 months ago, I bought a Bowflex Ultimate 2 and an elyptical machine. I know some people don't like the Bowflex, but for me, I've been very pleased. I can do reps to failure without worry about a bar coming down on me. Between 3 to 5 nights a week, I'll lift weights then do cardio on the elyptical machine for 20 minutes in a random up hill program. I break the weight lifting up, one night is chest and back, one night is shoulders and arms, and another is legs with maybe one light set of arms and chest. I'm currently just taking one protein shake after each workout of 100% Gold Whey with about 1.5 scoops of protein, and the rest milk, ice and some frozen berries. The rest of the time I'm eating turkey sandwiches with honey mustard, oatmeal, steak, chicken, fish, brown rice, sweet potatoes with brown sugar. If I want some sweet, I'll eat a small bown of the chocolate Chex cereal with skim milk, it's surprisingly really good. My question is, should I/can I take any other supplements to help in lowering body fat and gaining muscle? I've been reading up on BCAA and have been debating on taking additional BCAA even though the 100% gold standard already has 5.5g in it. Should I take BCAA seperatly or drink more protein shakes? I know that I need the muscle to help melt the fat away, so my thinking is that if I take supplements to help increase muscle growth, the fat will go away quicker. Thanks in advance!!!

muscles don't "melt" fat. Fat is just stored energy, and you can get rid of it by decreasing your calories consumed daily. you can also speed up this process by adding in some cardio. the main point here is to realize that your diet is pretty much in full control of the kind of results you will get. it's not the bowflex, it's not the ellyptical machine, and it's not taking TONS of supplements. A person who does all those.. and then goes and eats 1 full cheese pizza, with icecream for dessert and goes straight to bed probably won't see any results (not saying you do this, just giving you an example) the whole point i'm trying to make is this. your output (energy/calories used / day) needs to be greater than your input (food/energy consumed by eating) and just for the record, i'm not trying to bash the bowflex, but there are MUCH better things you can do instead of that machine. IMO.. you can only go so far with the bowflex. and an ellyptical? you're 31 years old you said, so unless you have some sort of horrible joint/bone problem at a young age... why not take up running, or swimming, or something else? again, wasn't trying to bash you. just constructive criticism.
My name is FOX.... and I approve this message.

Bowflex is not super bad but nothing beats free weights lol results came flying when I switched over and smoundzou set me straight lol... When it comes to the whole output greater than input for fat loss I think limiting your input too much might be bad since your limiting essential nutrients like vitamins and such. So I rather be the guy that burns 3400 calories a day and eats 3100 calories a day then the same guy who consumes 2200 calories a day and restricts his workout somehow to burn 2500 calories a day. Since I would not deprived myself from the right vitamins and minerals and stuff from limiting the foods consumed. I hope I'm making sense lol...
