Accuracy in Tanita Body Composition Analyzer - Monday, June 29, 2009 12:47 AM ( #1 )
I have used a TBF-300 in my gym. It seems pretty consistent but I have wondered about its accuracy in taking weight.

Tabita says I am 6 lbs less than what the normal weight scale says. I have tried using several weight scales and several Tabitas. They both seem to be consistent and stick to their results. So which is correct?

Body weight?

Different machines are calibrated slightly differently.
This machine is calibrated a little tighter than a K-Mart bought scale.

What matters MOST is using the same scale over time if you are tracking results!
