Okay i just joined this site and i have a question these are my "stats" age:15 height: 5'6 or 5'7 weight:112.7 bench (max): 115 or 120 Here's my predicament.... I'm a high school wrestler, so i get a pretty good workout every day, but yet i'm still on the lean side. I was presented with the option of going varsity 103 pounds (weight class). I attempted to make that weight but realized it would simply be unhealthy and i later decided to bump up a few weight classes. So now i have the opportunity to gain some weight and would like to do so. However, it seems that no matter how much i workout i really don't see big results on my body. I assume this could be partly due to genetics (both of my parents are lean) and that i have not really used protein shakes etc.. ever. Sooo... if anyone would be willing to offer some advice (training, diet etc.) to a somewhat mixed up kid, i would gladly take it. p.s. my high school offers a course called weight training that i am taking that will give me the opportunity to lift for 85 min. a day every other day during school. If that helps with the routine part at all

You need to eat- Five to six meals a day, plenty of protein, good carbs and good fats. Near the top of the nutrition forum, there's a thread about calculating your calorie expenditure- Read it, and figure out how many calories per day you should be eating, then post something about your diet in the nutrition forum and ask for help putting together a meal plan. How you train is secondary to how you eat really- If your body doesn't have the building blocks to make new muscle, it won't matter what program you're on- You won't gain. Protein shakes are great- But keep in mind, they're not a substitute, they're a supplement- Designed to add to the healthy solid food you're already eating. Hope this helps!

yeah that helps me out a lot. And i do very much agree w/ what you said about diet. right now that is my #1 priority.
