A PRE-WORK OUT ENERGY BOOST - Thursday, October 05, 2006 1:47 PM
I am usually tired before and during my workout since I am working all day..

I was wondering if I should just drink half a red bull instead of buying something that gives me a buncha crap I dont want..

I mean I would enjoy a NO2/Pre w/o energy product..  But I dont want the added creatine matrix the companies love to throw in there.  Any idea's of a supp that is just NO2/ and Energy?

MAN body octane, is one of the new good ones that uses Citruline Malate instead of arginine.

I used VPX's Muscle Nitrous and it gave me a good pump. I'm going to try a similar product called Blue Nitrous next week. Neither has creatine nor caffiene, both supps that I try to avoid.

It's been around for a little bit but either way it's great. MRM driven is a great pre-workout drink as well. I know giant nutrition is coming out with one as well. XCEED + BC is solid too.

dont get any supps, just get a 12 pack of Coke, an energy drink or caffiene pills. THen you should be good, and while your working out, youll burn all the calories they gave you. (pop and energy drink)

someone once told me to try gatorade or powerade due to the high carbs, and sugars, and now i don't get tired during my workouts, due tp that extra boost and just like carrhart said you burn all the excess off anyways.

I might try the body octane for one cycle, and let ppl know how I react to it.  The **** is really priced high though for a NO product, oh well if it gives me motivation than its good for something.  I was also thinking about giving no-xplode a shot, although I wouldnt take the prescribed amount but only 3/4s a scoop, to 1 whole one.  I'll let you guys know and thanks for the input.

After looking up a whole lotta pre-w/o supps..  I ordered Shock Therapy because I liked its ingredients the most.  I should recieve it in about 4 days and I will let you know what I think about it.  Once again thanks for the replies

Let me tell you guys something..  I ordered the Shock Therapy saturday the 8th from Bodybuilding.com..

I received my order tuesday (which is super fast considering monday was a holidy)

Today was my first day using it, (LEG DAY) and I am AMAZED at my workout!

I went up in weight and I had more staying power, even after I finished with more reps and about 18% more weight then I did last week.  Also at the end of my session I felt like my legs could go for a lot more, but I was within an inch of puking from the intesity.  I like this stuff because I didnt get light headed from the caffiene and my heart wasn't pounding out of my chest because of the caffiene niether.  I got the boost I wanted and a helluva lot more intense workout..

I recommend it.. Especially to those that are caffiene sensitive!  I can only imagine how arm day is gonna be (my fav muscles to work).

Oh and I'll tell you my supp stack and diet before workout and 1st meal after..

Morning - Wake up drink 1-1 1/2 cups of water..  Shower then 5 egg whites 3 yolks on 4 peices of whole wheat toast..  After eating I take my Multi-Vitamin, 2 1000mg fish oil caps, 3 pscillium husk fiber caps, 1 super milkthistle(it is for a cleansing program I am finishing), 1 Vitamin C + Rose hip chewable.

Mid Morning - 2 Peanut Butter + Bit of jelly sandwiches on 4 peices of whole wheat bread.. After eating that I took 1 Glucosamine + Condroitin for joints tablet.

Pre-Workout - 5mg CEE Mixed with 1 serving of Shock Therapy and 10mg of Glutamine (so I dont get sick and other reasons) ALL Mixed in BB.com Shaker bottle with 18oz room temp water.

During Workout - Drank 30oz of water..

Post-Workout - 6 minutes after workout drank 5mg CEE mixed with 1 serving ON gold standard WHEY protien.. 5 minutes later drank 1 cup of pure apple juice (I KNOW I SHOULD DRINK DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER WORKOUT)..

1 HOUR AFTER W/O - 2 1/2 4oz Chicken breast grilled, 1 1/2 cups cooked brown rice, and 3/4 cup steamed carrots, and 3/4 cup steamed broccoli..

I consume approx. 1 and 1/2 gallons of spring water a day.

What do you think?
