It depends on how strict you were with you rehab.

Ive done my right ACL twice now and had that surgically fixed. I was very very disciplined with my rehab and after 8 months i was more or less functioning normally.

Saying that, im not sure fighting (im assuming thats what MMA is) or wrestling is the best option right now for a busted knee thats recovering.

If you have been very good with ure rehab, id still wait about 12 months before doing something thats as physically intensive as that.

But the bottom line is, you need to get the OK from your doctor & physiotherapists before you do anything crazy.

I just completed mine a month ago. According to my physiotherapist and orthopaedic doc, the time it takes to fully heal depends on the duration of the tear before the surgery. I tore mine 3 years ago, so it definitely takes a longer time to heal. An instant surgery after the tear would mean a shorter duration to fully heal. Then again, it depends on what events you're planning to take in the MMA tourney. Sparrings?

I had a opposite knee patellar tendon graft in late october so i am about 2 1/2 months out and i went and played rugby witht the U S team in Tempe, Its all about your doctor, and how hard you rehab. I had full extension a week after. If you have rehabed by the book and as much as possible theres no limits.

I had my ACL reconstructed by the same fellow who works on the BC lions and Canucks.  He fixed me up, I did PT with Rick Cellebrini who now works with pro soccor players and did my rehab 3x per week for 2 hours for a few months until they gave me the go ahead to rehab myself.  I worked up to some intense plyometrics and have competed since (did have to go in the next year for meniscus trim, 97 and 98) but I competed and have done hard landings you name it, no probs!  I do get lil pains when I do not workout for 2-4 weeks........so it is so imperative to keep up the rehab!
