Not quite as well as a crunch

There are tons of machines out there for sale that claim they'll get you nice abs without all the crunches and stuff, but don't believe the hype- Nothing beats the old fashioned way, and if you don't have the motivation to watch your nutrition and exercise, no machine out there is going to help.

So I really can't get anything out of this equipment? Is it a waste of time to use it? Thanks for the replies..

Well.. sort of.

Let me explain. If getting that equipment motivates you to workout then no. It's not a waste.

However, if you were motivated to do crunches and ab work but figured this would be better...

Then yes it was a waste.

I got an exercise bike becuase I was not motivated to do cardio at my gym. So was it a waste? No. It motivated me to do cardio (sometimes).

However, if I was doing cardio at my gym and figured this bike was better, then yes it was a waste.
