A restart

I spent all of Christmas and New Year down with a serious flu. I was bed ridden for a week and was unable to eat for four days. As a result, I have lost some weight and a lot of fitness. Viruses can take a little while to go but I am eager to get active again. I think I should try to increase my aerobic fitness first. That I just have to get on with but I would like to ask if anyone has any good strength building routines. I really like the look of the Texas method with its mixture of volume, deload and 1rep pb in one week and its focus on one or two types of power lifts a day. This sort of undulating routine suits me well. But I feel that I could do with a phase of increasing rate of force with olympic style lifting. If anyone could pass on some routines which incorporate core and assistance lifts together it would be much appreciated. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to chat with a couple of trainers who would put me in a good routine but I know some people here pretty well experienced too. Thanks.

For core and assistance lifts I would recomend a book called "The new rules of lifting" I got it a while ago and liked it a lot. The strength programs in it are very cool!

Yes, maybe I should get myself a book and not just rely on free info on the web. Thanks, will look into it and others.
