A quick question

Hi all, maybe someone can advise on this issue. Is it necessary for a bench to be long enough so that the head fits on it? I want to get a bench for working out at home. Right now I have adjustable dumbells and maybe will go for a barbell as well sometime later. There's a particular bench I've seen online and it seems quite compact which is great. The drawback is that apparently the seat is too small for me to fit from butt to head on it. What do think, is it possible to do proper work with head "in the air"? Thanks. Thanks.

Best to find one that supports your head- Leaving it hanging like that when doing heavy exercises, like bench press, could cause neck strain when you're trying to push all that weight. During the bench press, or any other exercise where your head should be supported on the bench, you want to be concentrating purely on the exercise itself- Not on trying to keep your head up at the same time. It can be very distracting.

Thanks for the prompt response! Guess I'll have to make a bit more room..
