I am a firm believer in that if you exercise for long enough to will get some results.  The best home gym in my opinion is a power rack, a platform, a bench, barbell and a whole lot of weight plates.

He lost bodyfat and gained a few inches on his arms through curling, which is co-incidentally the only actual recorded muscle measurement (which is noted incorrectly as per usual).

It's good progress on a fat loss level, though he might have been able to stimulate further muscular growth if he had of trained with free weights.

I'd be confident that anyone here who possesses a similar quantity of muscle mass could achieve similar results.

I agree -too many people badmouth home gyms simply because they typically aren't as rugged or hardened as the equipment in a professional health club, but it is misplaced criticism. Frankly, I've quit gyms because they used sh1ttier equipment than I could've bought myself.

People who use the quality of (typical) home gym equipment as an excuse not to make the best use of it are making excuses, plain and simple. Success in bodybuilding does not rise or fall on whether the cables in your lat pulldown machine have too much slack in them, or the bench is made of too cheap a grade of plywood. Of course, these things will grate on your patience and may even make working out genuinely unpleasant, but they are seldom deal-breakers.

Anyone can make sick, mind-blowing transformations if they have the tenacity, the will to push through the pain, and the desire. Almost every elite bodybuilding champion has some kind of story about starting out curling sacks of potatoes, or "rowing" beer kegs in the back of their father/uncle/grandad's store or what have you. Don't let the quality of your equipment be an excuse for not doing something

I agree^^^^^^^ with you VEG
I've made great gains in the past working out at home.
I'm currently working out in my home gym and I get just as big pumps, just as sore,as I would at the local YMCA.
bottom line...If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to make it work.

I've seen kids filling plastic bags full of water to do bicep curls.
there are no excuses for being lazy...
Believe me i've looked...LOL

If I had a choice I would always go with a real gym. Plus I calculated it out, for the cost of a basic home gym I can go to my gym for like 3 years. I will take the gym.
