For 99% of most natural training people, 36-48 hours is all the recovery time needed. I think regardless of how you structure your workout, you need to have frequency in training your muscles of at least 2-3 times weekly. Upper Lower splits usually work best hitting each muscle group 2 X's weekly. Upper Lower split: Monday: Upper Tuesday: Lower Wed: off Thur: Upper Fri: Lower.. Fully body: Every other day or, Monday / Wed / Friday Drinking a protein shake on your off days would all depend on how much protein you're getting from natural foods... Meaning, it's a supplement. Supplements are only taken to supplement what your body isn't getting naturally. There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing
