here's an example...

(especially check out the Log P.T. at 5:00 onwards)

Some people hail its effectiveness, especially when you look at the shape most Spec Ops guys are in. Yet the medical guys dislike the methods of training employed by the military.

The question is, how effective is this training method? Does all the pain that is inflicted really make you a great degree stronger?

none of the conv therapists/run-of-the-mill trainers would support it. but in my opinion/experience [3 years in airforce corps :| ]  it is one of the best types of training coz it is more a mental thing than physical. u put ur body and soul at stake.

The body does what the mind tells it.  A strong mind will create (not necessarily in conventional terms) a strong body.  There lies military PT's effectiveness.

Of course, a conventionally-strong body is also a result of military PT.

All of those guys that are in shape like that do more than PT. The live in the Gym also. Always training unless something breaks out and you have to go.
