6/8 Pack, Wide or Narrow? - Thursday, June 05, 2008 9:25 PM ( #1 )
I know everyone is different and every body reacts differently to certain exercises, but is it possible that some exercises make abs wider? I noticed many bodybuilders have huge wide abs, is it because they have large stomaches or are they doing other exercises to get that effect? My abs narrow in a bit every time I flex and spread a bit when I crunch, but how do you get abs to widen apart, on its own it makes better appearance and stands out more. Last question, should obliques be trained just as much as normal ab exercises or skipped now and then since no one wants obliques too big.
Its not what you know, its what you can do that counts!

Treat ab's as if you would treat any other muscle group.

How do you make your muscles bigger?

You work em, and feed em.

huh?  obliques are very hard to train and i have yet to see a set of obliques that are too big.  As for widening the stomach, thats a no go its just how your muscles are set up and shaped you cant change that
