There are two methods for manufacturing RTD proteins; the most common processing approach is called “Retort”. During the process of “Retort”, protein RTD’s are BOLIED at temperatures ranging from 240 to 260 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes. Make no mistake and do not be fooled by your current RTD brand maker’s lies and deceit! Look at me in the eyes when I speak to you, “Boiling protein destroys it!”
The other protein RTD processing technique is as being billed as a “more advanced” manufacturing practice; however, it may be worse yet. This method of protein RTD manufacturing utilizes a process called UHT or Ultra High Temperature. UHT boils protein at 270 to 280 degrees for 10 to 15 seconds. Some refer to this super harsh processing technique as “flash heating” to try to disguise what really happens. During UHT or “flash heating” liquid protein is processed in a stainless steal kettle and heated to a mind-blowing “ultra high temperature” of 280 degrees! …“Flash Heating”...in a stainless steel kettle that takes many hours to cool down? – maybe in the land of “Fairy God Mothers” but not in the real scientific world. Look at me when I talk to you! UHT is a protein killer!
Either way, you lose! You lose hard earned muscle, you lose your money and you may even lose your health! High heat ruins and denatures protein. Denature is a scientific term that means that it chemically alters the natural molecular structure of the protein making it unrecognizable and foreign to the body. In other words, the boiled protein is “denatured” or “unnatural”. These unrecognizable foreign substances are referred to as free radicals. There are two methods of how your protein RTD is boiled and rendered worthless and potentially harmful. As you may have guessed, your CHEMICALLY ALTERED RTD is not only totally useless for building muscle, but is also potentially very dangerous to the human body. High heat causes denaturation and cross-linking of proteins making them un-utilizable. What is worse yet is that cross-linkage of protein caused by excessive and/or high heat may be harmful to your health and damage the body similar to Trans Fatty Acids. Trans fats are formed when fats are heated to a high degree (like the frying process or French Fries, for example) or in the process of hydrogenation. A chemically altered protein drink bolied at 240 to 280 degrees is not much different.
More bad news for protein RTD drinkers:
Because most protein RTD’s contain fat also, you may be getting cross linked proteins and trans fatty acids all in the same drink. Trans Fatty Acids are so harmful that all food and food based supplements must list Trans Fatty Acid content on the label in 2006. Free radicals produced by both cross linked proteins and trans fatty acids can cause breaks in the double strand DNA and this results in mutations. How bad are they? It is my personal opinion that Trans fatty acids are the cause of such high rates of cancer in society today and further, that future research may show that proteins that are chemically altered when exposed to high heat may also exert a similar health risk.

i read it all. i was like hmmmm, interesting, ok makes sense, then boom "thats why our product is coming out and will be better". you have to take it with a grain of cocaine. if this was a non biase write up it all sounds believable but to me companies that produce normal rtd have just as much cred as the company with the new special kind; which im sure has a higher price to reflect their new thing. so imo the new company would have more reason to lie.

dumb dumb dumb dumb.

By this logic, you should never eat a piece of cooked meat ever.  I hope you like sashimi.

If heat doesn't denature protein, you stomach acids will, before the proteins are hydrolyzed into the constituent amino acids. 

This misinformation is marketing hype of the worst tripe.
