For one he does some serious BW training around the house, that handstand thing, the balance and strength he has is unreal, it would put muscle on anyone. Like wyrms said he could have a myostatin deficiency. And he could be on something but I dunno about that one.

There was a story about this kid on last night's news here. I guess he broke some Guiness record for walking on his hands with a ball between his legs. The only thing they said about his development was that his dad trained with him since the boy could walk! This brings up the old debate: Is there a downside to that level of resistance training for someone so young? Is growth compromised, or perhaps enhanced? I'm sure back in the day boys would help the older men on the hunt, etc., and would climb, lift, wrestle, run, etc. I'm sure it's better than sitting on your butt playing video games. Thoughts?

IMO its a little overboard i mean its great getting your kids into a healthy life style. sports good food etc But i just think this is too much for a 5yr old child.

I don't think it will hurt them especially if they are eating decently.

Gottabefit I'm gonna go alla-Twisted... It's genetics well you're right.. it's a rare genetic disorder. It really has nothing to do with how much his dad trained him.. I beleive it was on Discovery they had a special about kids with this type of genetic disorder.. it's not threatening in anyway but most of these kids that have it are much stronger than kids their age.. usually a 4 year old has the strength of a 9 or 10 year old.. They are always very lean with slight muscle development as this kid has.. and small for their age.
