you are training the same muscles TOO much. when will your muscles be able to HEAL/GROW if you're hitting the same ones with more and more work day after day? for example.. you mentioned flatbench on sunday, followed by incline bench on monday. that is NOT what you should do. This is more than likely going to be detrimental to building muscle, and will probably hinder you from making gains/growth. working out 4 days a week is fine, i do that myself... however, you might want to try some type of split routine if you do. for example, sunday could be back/biceps monday could be chest/triceps off tuesday wednesday = legs/shoulders friday = same as sunday do you see my point. most people get into the habit of thinking that you grow IN the gym. this isn't true at all. you grow outside the gym, during your resting days. you grow while the muscles heals from the microdamage you gave it during your workout. REST DAYS are very important. if you hit the muscle over, and over, and over, and over repeatedly... you're pretty much just hurting yourself. i think i've made my point.

I don't think the routine he was doing before was bad. It was basically a 3 day fullbody workout, with a day or two of rest in between each workout. I don't think that working out sunday to wednesday is a good idea. You should get at least a day off in between workouts. I would stick with doing S, T, and TH or a M/W/F. What do you want to get out of your next routine, size or strength?

i suggest a 3 day fullbody workout. this way you have 4 days to rest/heal, and you can do cardio on those days if you wish. you can do a sunday/tuesday/thursday and take off the other days to rest.. .or a mond/wed/friday if you wish. that is what i would suggest
