Hey this is my first post on these forums.

I started working out roughly 3 months ago. I just turned 16 and weigh like 145lbs and am 5"10. I'm pretty fit but looking to get stronger and more muscled. I've been doing a full body routine 3 times a week. I do mostly machines (trainer wrote me a basic program) and what i do is:

Chest press - 3sets - 9-12 reps 80lbs........started at like 60lbs
Tricep pulldown - 3-12 reps 80lbs...... started at 60 aswell
DB curls (i think!) - 3-12 18lbs.......... started at 13
Lat pulldown - 3 -12 110lbs....... started at 70
Assisted chin ups - 2 -12
weight sit ups (3kg ball) 3 - 50

I play sport at school so dont really do any extra cardio. I eat pretty healthy.. alot of nuts and fruit. Eat meat most nights for dinner.

Do I need to change anything? I've noticed a bit of a difference in my biceps and abs but not massively different. Do I need to be more serious about my diet? IE eating lots of protein

Should I move to more freeweights or stick with the machines?

a lot of protein will always help, but if u dont want to put much muslce on, then you should do cardio. And if you want to look more muscular, I would lift heavier weight iwth lighter reps. And cardio awill also help cut the fat covering ur muslces.
