3 Day Split - Wednesday, July 09, 2008 7:45 AM ( #1 )
I want to change things up a bit, so I was thinking of doing this

Monday: Chest/Tri
Flat bench
Flat bench flys
Incline bench
Incline bench flys
Decline bench
Decline bench flys
Close grip bench
Cable tricep extensions

Wednesday: Back/Bi
Barbell curl
Concentration Curls
Wide grip pulldowns
Cable rows (stomach/chest)
Dumbbell bent over row
Deadlifts
Wide grip pullups

Thursday: Shoulders/Legs
Squats
Calve raises
Lunges
Seated shoulder press
Rear lateral deltoid row
Lateral raises
Upright rows

Let me know what you think! On tuesdays and fridays I do CrossFit.

The split looks good.

It looks like wayy too much on chest/tri day. You only really need 1 flying movement. Tricep workout looks fine.

Put your back workout first, starting with the biggest workout, deadlift, and getting smaller from there. Bicep isos go last.

You don't need upright rows AND lateral raises, so you can take out one of those. Upright rows bother some people's shoulder, so be careful with that.

agreed  to much for chest IMO.

all you need is flatbench, incline bench,  (possibly decline bench if you really think you need it)... but instead of decline bench i would do some heavy dip leaning forward just a bit and that will work the lower pectoralis area as well as hit your triceps hard.

then you can do a set of fly's (only 1 set is needed) and then throw in some skullcrushers and call it a day.

also.. i would start back/bicep day with your heavy back exercises first.

meaning.. do deadlifts first, then pullups, then rows, and then all your bicep work.  (no need for pulldowns if you do a couple of sets of pullups IMO.

ok.. i think i've covered everything now.  goodluck

I pretty much said the same thing, haha. I've realized that some people like doing pulldowns and pullups, even though I feel that both aren't necessary, so I didn't make the comment. I agree with fox about the pullups though.

Thanks for the comments. I was just listing the exercises that i planned on doing, not necessarily in that order. As far as the flys, which one is the best to do? I saw that Milos Sarcev does them all for his chest workouts.

you could switch between flatbench and incline bench flyes occasionally.  both are beneficial.   i myself NEVER do flyes anymore, and my chest is decent IMO.
