Is it better to solve a problem for a man, or enlighten said man on how accomplish said problem.

Depends what the problem is.
For instance, if I have a problem walking, because I have no legs, it's going to be quite difficult for me to walk across the room.
I would need you to pass me a skateboard so I could put my half-body on it and push myself.
There really isn't to show me how to fix the problem of getting to my skateboard.
